“A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work”
If the above anonymous quote makes any sense to you at all, you are in the right place.
Welcome to Blue Sky online. We’re a small, professional, laid-back charter boat operation located in the Philippines – specifically, Siargao Island, Philippines, and more specifically, Pilar. We fish. We love to fish. We live to fish. But that’s not all. We like being on the water – period, whether to access one of the region’s hundreds of secluded beaches for a swim and a bite, to watch whales, dolphins or other marine miracles in their natural habitat, or just to get off the land and away from all that represents.
If you want to spend a few hours, a day, or more on the water, fishing, island hopping, whale watching or whatever, let’s talk. We know the waters. We know the fish. We know the islands – not all 7,006 islands in the Philippines, but enough of them to make sure you find what you’re after. We are fast, reliable, experienced, and sensibly priced.
And what about when we’re not on the water? What about the guests you bring along who are not fish-fanatics like us? Not to worry. Siargao abounds with natural and human attractions to keep anyone entertained and fascinated.
Have a look. If you have any questions, just contact us however is easiest for you. Cheers.
A former part-time fly fishing guide for Salmon and Sea Trout in Wales and Ireland, Steve has fished fresh and saltwater in UK, Ireland, Canada, Florida, New England (US), Kenya, Australia and Thailand. Sailed in SW England, Wales and Ireland and made one trans-Atlantic crossing. An avid collector of all things angling, he has an extensive collection of antique gear and an impressive collection of fishing books and magazines, and is author of several journal articles on related subjects. A businessman in the U.K. (home construction among other things), in the Philippines Steve is above all a fisherman and a good mate for a chat over a bite and a brew… and a damned good karaoke crooner, when he’s neither too much nor too little in his cups.
